In 1978, Bobby Mackey opened up his club, Bobby Mackey's Music World. It has been called, "one of the 10 most haunted places in the country."
Here's the sign you'll see when you first enter the club.
Before it was created into the traditional country nightclub it is today, Bobby Mackey's Music World originally was a slaughterhouse in the 1800's. According to the history, it is documented that, in 1896, a young lady named Pearl Bryan was murdered nearby. Her body was found decapitated, and, although it was never found nor proven, some believe her head was left in the slaughterhouse in, what is known as, "hell's gate." It is a broken concrete area in the basement of the nightclub, which has a tunnel that leads outside. She was murdered by Scott Jackson with an accomplice, Alonzo Walling, who claimed he was innocent all the way until their death by hanging.
The slaughterhouse later became vacant for a number of years. Then, by the 1950's, the slaughterhouse had became a casino and nightclub called, "The Primrose." The owners were an east coast mafia who were operating a casino, along with other illegal activity that took place downstairs. The legend goes that a dancer named, "Johanna," hanged herself in her dressing room, located in the basement. It is said that her father murdered her lover, Robert Randall, a singer at the club, and she was devastated.
These two events have been reported to cause an incredible disturbance throughout the years in the Bobby Mackey's Music World. Mr. Mackey had no idea what he was in for when he took over the nightclub. There are numerous cases where patrons, a grounds keeper Carl Lawson, including Bobby's deceased wife Janet Mackey, who all spoke of the images, sounds, and feelings they've experienced caused by the supernatural.
Here is a video from the tv show "Ghost Adventures" that show more in-depth conversations and investigations about the club:
